PC/OS 2009v3 è una distribuzione derivata da Xubuntu completa di codec multimediali e altri vari tool creati appositamente per facilitarne l’uso. Altra qualità di PC/OS 2009v3 è quello di avere una grande compatibilità con i pc datati che diano desktop o notebook. LA distribuzione è LiveCd con possibilità di installazione sia su Hard Disk che Pendrive e viene distribuita multilingua compreso l’italiano.

This release fixes many of the hardware issues that users had with PC/OS 2009v2 series. With this release we went ahead and and installed all updates so all security updates since PC/OS Maintenance Pack 3 have been applied. The changes to PC/OS 2009.3 application wise are common across all releases except XFCE 4.6 was not included in WebStation due to some issues that are being explored right now on some models of netbooks.

A few changes to the core lineup. The only two public releases are PC/OS OpenWorkstation and PC/OS WebStation. WebStation is a CD ISO so recyclers can use it, netbook users can use it and even those who want a light desktop can use it. OpenDesktop is still produced and is available upon request from recyclers. Unlike other Web 2.0 centric distributions we still have many local apps for core fuctionality, client based audio, video and IM are just examples of that. You can use Synaptic and install applications that you would like to.
