Sabayon Linux è una distribuzione GNU/Linux basata su Gentoo creata da Fabio Erculiani e prodotta in Trentino, Italia, precedentemente conosciuta con il nome di RR4. Il nome deriva dal dessert italiano zabajone.
Sabayon incorpora sia i driver proprietari (installati di default) che quelli opensource (selezionabili al momento dell’avvio dell’ambiente live) per le schede Nvidia ed ATI Technologies e dispone sin dalla versione Live delle tecnologe Xgl ed AIGLX, sistemi desktop che sfruttano l’accelerazione hardware video del computer. Proprio per la notoria difficoltà ad installare ed utilizzare Gentoo, Sabayon si pone il traguardo di rendere il tutto più semplice, con un occhio di riguardo verso l’aspetto grafico.
