Kmess è un client alternativo a
MSN Messenger per sistemi GNU/Linux. Le caratteristiche principali di Kmess sono la

Per utilizzare
KMess su Kubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala basta avviare il terminale, copiare ed incollare questo comando che provvederà ad installare la chiave d'autenticazione e ad aggiungere i Repository al file sources.list
sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com 1D2EC123 && sudo echo "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kmess-packages/ppa/ubuntu karmic main" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list && sudo apt-get updateora per installare (o aggiornare se abbiamo già installata una precedente versione) KMess basta digitare nel terminale
sudo apt-get install kmess
