Rapid Photo Downloader è un semplice software per scaricare sul PC le nostre foto dalla macchina digitale ed inviarle ad un server in maniera facile e veloce.
Creato da un fotografo per i fotografi, dice lo slogan nel sito del produttore, possiamo anche rinominare velocemente tutte le foto. Inoltre, crea automaticamente delle cartelle per differenziare le foto per tipo (secondo le impostazioni che abbiamo precedentemente settato) e molte altre funzioni.
Ecco le novità della nuova versione 0.1.0 beta1 tratte dal sito del produttore:New feature: when detection of portable storage devices is selected, the program will prompt you whether or not to download from each device it automatically detects. You can choose whether the program should remember the choice you make every time it runs. This fixes bug #376020.

Per utilizzare Rapid Photo Downloader su Ubuntu dobbiamo prima installare la chiave d’autenticazione scrivendo nel terminale
sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-key 0x0b6aa52a264a3dfba questo punto aggiungiamo i Repository scrivendo sempre nel terminale
